About PPI

Welcome to the home of the Positive Power & Influence Programme

Positive Power and Influence is a personal development training course that gives participants the skills and confidence to influence people irrespective of their position in an organisation. PPI participants learn how to have a greater impact and control over situations and events, whilst also maintaining and strengthening relationships.

This acclaimed programme has been running for over 25 years. Last year, in the UK and Ireland, more than a thousand key staff from over 300 organisations learned how to take control of influence situations by attending a PPI programme. Globally, more than a quarter of a million people in over 25 countries have learnt these skills, and the programme has been translated into 15 languages.

The Positive Power & Influence Suite of Programmes

Choose from these options:

PPI Standard Open-Enrolment Programmes  5-day residential programmes for 12-18 participants, held at various locations throughout the UK and Ireland.

PPI Directors Open-Enrolment Programmes  Similar to the standard Open Programmes but set in the context of the influence situations faced by directors and senior staff.

PPI 2-day Programmes  The 2-day open enrolment programme offers an introduction to the principles of PPI and prepares participants for the next stage of their development.

PPI In-Company Programmes  These programmes can be tailored to meet the objectives of the participants and the organisation. Extremely flexible, they can be run at an organisation's facility or off-site, can accommodate 6-18 participants and be of 2-4 days duration. They are very cost effective when groups of people need to be trained.

ASSERTING

When Asserting, be specific. Generalised expectations or incentives will lead to vague reactions or commitments by the other person.

Generalised expectations will jeopardize implementation because the other person will not have committed to anything specific.

Generalised incentives will have little impact on the target because they lack clear or obvious value.
